Rites of Passage
In a confused society, boys don’t know when to become men, and fathers struggle how to guide sons into that new phase of life. Cross Generational Ministries is offering a weekend retreat where fathers get the chance to define and call their sons into manhood.
The Goal:
Throughout history, cultures have had rites of passage ceremonies for their young men; ceremonies that have been lost in modern day culture. We believe only another man can truly call a boy into manhood. Therefore, this weekend is dedicated to assisting fathers in calling forth their sons through teaching, clay pigeon shoot, father/son devotion, relationship building activities and Rites of Passage. We will help fathers walk alongside of their sons as men together, and prepare for the challenges and expectations that we face as biblical men in this modern culture.
ACTIVITIES:
Father/Son Guided Devotions
Teaching Sessions on the important issues in manhood
Father/Son Discussion Times
Team building games & great times around the campfire
DETAILS:
Begins Friday night through Sunday at noon. We request your sons be at least 15 years of age to attend. This weekend will be a weekend to impact the life of fathers and sons for generations to come. Grandfathers are welcome or “father – like” relationships.

My sixteen-year-old son and I thoroughly enjoyed the father-son retreat led by Cross Generation Ministries! My favorite part was getting away for a weekend for a good balance of time alone with my son and time spent with other fathers and sons who were all there with the goal of calling their son out to manhood. Tim’s teaching was outstanding—Biblically centered and speaking life, hope, and encouragement to both of us. The timely themes of accepting responsibility, rejecting passivity, and leading courageously will be remembered by us for many years to come. In addition to the excellent teaching, Tim and his sons led our group in engaging, and energetic games and activities—all providing a great combination of work and play.
